I think of war, in it's essence, as immature. Like toddlers fighting for toy. It's mind boggling to me. I spent several weeks in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel in 2000 when I was a staff photographer at The Herald News in New Jersey. The Palestinians were the most gracious hosts. Always wanting to feed us! I've been thinking a lot about all the people I met on that trip and wonder how many of them have died this October.
